Midweek Update: Buffs tennis in Ada and Bartlesville



The Lady Warriors went 0-2 at the Crowder Tournament over the weekend, losing 14-0 to Crowder and 8-2 to Eufaula. Haileyville played Stuart on Tuesday and next plays Canadian on Thursday.


The Miners won all of their games last week, starting with a 4-0 win against Stigler on April 1. The Miners then won the Stuart Spring Baseball Tournament, beating Wilburton 10-0, Crowder 13-7 and Oktaha 10-9 in Saturday’s championship.

Monday’s game against Stuart was rained out. The Miners played Wilburton on Tuesday and next host the Coal Mining Classic this weekend.

The Lady Miners went 0-4 last week, beginning with a 9-7 loss to Wister on April 1. They lost 10-7 to Oktaha on Thursday, and 9-8 to Tushka and 12-2 to Stonewall on Monday.

The Lady Miners played Stigler on Tuesday and next play at Wilburton on Thursday.


The Warriors beat Quinton 8-7 on April 1, then went 0-2 at the Wetumka Tournament. They lost 22-2 to Konawa on Thursday and 12-3 to Wetumka on Friday.

Indianola played Midway on Tuesday and next plays Wetumka on Thursday.

The Warriorettes went 1-2 at the Pitt 8 Tournament. They lost 9-7 to Crowder in the first round, beat Canadian 10-0 in the consolation semifinals but lost 13-7 to Pittsburg in the consolation championship.

Indianola lost 10-0 to Eufaula to begin Friday’s Crowder Tournament, but it came back to beat Canadian 11-3 in the consolation championship.

Monday’s game against Calvin was rained out. Indianola next plays Wednesday at Schulter.


The Cowboys beat Bennington 15-5 on April 1 but then went 0-2 at the Stuart Tournament. They lost 5-0 to Oktaha in the first round, then lost 9-8 to Coalgate in Saturday’s consolation semifinal.

Monday’s games against Crowder and Coleman were rained out. Kiowa played Clayton on Tuesday and next plays Coalgate on Friday.

The Cowgirls finished second in the Pitt 8 Tournament. They beat Canadian 10-0 in the first round and Crowder 9-1 in the semifinals before losing 16-8 to Stuart in the championship.
