EUFAULA — Neither All-Star team seemed particularly upset when Saturday’s 29th annual Lake Eufaula Classic football game devolved into a brawl midway through the third quarter. The referees, on the other hand, found the fighting so ugly they left Paul Bell Stadium.
Without referees, the game couldn’t continue.
The Lake Eufaula Classic ended without a winner with 6:41 left in the third quarter. Announcers said it was the first time in the all-star game’s history that no winner was declared.
South had the lead when the game ended, 12-10. McAlester senior Tyler Curry caught both of the South's touchdown passes, finishing the night with six catches for 104 yards.
South quarterback Austin Clark went 10-for-13 for 127 passing yards and two TD passes.
