McALESTER — Canadian:

Haileyville’s football season ends Friday at Quinton. The Warriors are one loss away from their second winless season in a row, having now lost 23 straight games dating back to a Week 7 loss to Central Sallisaw during the 2011 season.
Basketball season for schools with football teams doesn’t begin until Nov. 21.
Hartshorne wraps up its football regular season at home against Wilburton on Friday. Though the Miners have already clinched a playoff spot,
Hartshorne is coming off a Week 9 loss to Vian that in all likelihood decided District 2A-6.

The Buffaloes wrap up their football regular season Friday at Tulsa Memorial. McAlester clinched its district by beating Skiatook in Week 9, but the Buffs committed six penalties for a combined 80 yards in that game, so they’ll be looking for a cleaner performance in Week 10.
Buffs head coach Bryan Pratt said Dalton Wood will play in Friday’s game. Wood left early in McAlester’s Week 5 game against Shawnee on Oct. 4 and has missed four games with an ankle injury.
Pratt said he intends to let Wood play much of Friday’s game. Wood’s return means backup quarterback Caden Pratt will return to playing inside receiver, and Coach Pratt said he wants both players to get lots of reps Friday to try to regain their timing on passing plays.
