McALESTER — It’s been a fantastic sports year for McAlester junior Caden Pratt. Forced into the quarterback’s role eight minutes into the fall season, Pratt emerged as the biggest offensive playmaker on the team and led the Buffs to the state semifinals.
Pratt followed up a successful fall with a terrific winter season, winning both a regional and state powerlifting title in the 132-pound weight class. Pratt has also emerged as the best long-jumper on the track team this spring, winning the event in four of the Buffs’ first five meets.
As an epilogue to the powerlifting season, Pratt took first at the Natural Athlete Strength Association High School Nationals powerlifting meet on Saturday at Oklahoma City.
