McALESTER — Until the pretty wins start coming for the McAlester Buffaloes, they know that if they have to win ugly, they can.
And if the Buffs have to come back to win, they can do that, too.
McAlester overcame a four-run deficit in the bottom of the fifth, and heavy rains forced the game to end half an inning later to give the Buffs an 8-7 win against the Broken Bow Savages on Saturday at Mike Deak Field.
McAlester has now won its first four games of the season, having had to come back in each one. McAlester beat Byng earlier on Saturday, 2-1.
