Most 1-year-olds can’t do all that much. Walk, eat slightly more solid food, maybe talk a little — for most people, that’s about it.
But not McAlester senior Taylor Horne. Even at the age of 1, Horne was already dancing.
“I’m usually really shy by nature, but when I’m dancing, I feel like a different person,” Horne said Thursday. “I just feel like that’s where I belong.”
Horne has always lived in McAlester, attending Haywood Elementary until the seventh grade, when she switched to Puterbaugh.
“At Haywood, there were only like 10 people in my class,” Horne said. “When I moved to Puterbaugh, there were like 100, so it was a big culture shock.”
