Two Buffs make All-State Football Game

McALESTER — Two members of the 2012 McAlester Buffaloes football team have made the Oklahoma Coaches Association All-State Game. Gannon Beck, a linebacker, and Heath Hogan, an offensive lineman, will play Friday at 7 p.m. at Union Tuttle Stadium in Tulsa.

Hogan is the only player from a 5A school on the East Offense team, although six 5A players made the West Offense team. Jordan Cunningham from Claremore joins Beck as the only 5A players to make an All-State defensive team, and both will play for the East Defense team.

Beck and Hogan both graduated in 2013.

Tickets will cost $5. To get to Union Tuttle Stadium, take the Indian Nation Parkway to US-75 N, then exit onto Creek Turnpike E after 41 miles.

Continue onto US-64 W after about eight miles, then exit onto 71st Street S. Turn left onto E. 71st Street S., then right onto S. Mingo Road.

The stadium is at 6836 S. Mingo Road. Practice for the All-State game began Monday.
