McALESTER — Addiction Salon hit five home runs over the fence and kept a sixth inside the park, run-ruling the Firm in three innings, 19-5, in Tuesday's winners-bracket championship of the McAlester recreation softball league at the Pittsburg County Softball Complex.
Already up 5-0 after one, Addiction Salon exploded for 12 two-out runs in the top of the second. Robby Adcock scored Chuck Glynn with a double, then Adcock came home on a two-run home run by John David Spears that made it 9-0 Salon.
Corey Parker and Justin Klusak hit back-to-back singles to keep the inning going, then Wayne Waldron crushed a three-run home run to left off of Firm pitcher Greg Owens.
The inning continued with Clayton Pinson and Randy Ott singling, and Glynn drew a walk to load the bases. Addiction Salon leadoff hitter Broderick Crawford then drilled one down the first base line, clearing the bases and giving Crawford enough time to make it all the way home for an inside-the-park grand slam and a 15-0 lead.
A single from Kyle Monroe extended the inning even further, then Adcock crushed a two-run shot to center field for a 17-0 lead. Adcock also put Addiction Salon on the board with a two-run home run in the top of the first, finishing the night 3-for-3 with five RBIs and three runs scored.
