Bowling Bulletin: Beer Money wins Monday Men’s second half

McALESTER — Monday Men’s League:

With a 4-point lead and a 2,600-pin advantage over second-place X-Factor heading into last Monday’s Position Round, top-ranked Beer Money would’ve needed to utterly implode to not finish in first place.

Beer Money did wind up losing all three games and the total-score point to X-Factor, but despite all those wins, X-Factor only shaved 300 pins off the tiebreaker. Both teams finished with 48-16 records, but Beer Money got the tiebreaker as the only team to finish with over 100,000 total pins across the season.

Beer Money and High Flush will face off Monday in the championship. Beer Money finished with league’s best bowler in Mark Beaver (20,043 pins), its fourth-best bowler in Marlan Isbell (19,268) and its fifth-best in Danny Barlow (19,097).
