McALESTER — Mix & Mingle League:
Even with Nina Kitchell absent, the Misfits still dominated their Championship Roll-Off against Thunder. The Misfits won all three of their individual games, 864, 826 and 763, also winning for total score to beat Thunder, 4-0.
Gonzo Gonzalez — the only player on the Misfits without a handicap — led his team with three 200-plus games, including a 245 in the first game.
“Just a lot of practice,” Gonzalez said Friday. “Last year, we finished in 12th place. This year, the girls practiced and got better each week.”
The Pin-Busters finished sixth, but closer Matt Fanning finished first overall with 19,618 pins.
