A woman was found “not moving and cold to the touch,” at approximately 8 a.m. Saturday, in the canal located in the vicinity of Puterbaugh Park, according to McAlester Police records.
The woman was removed from the canal by McAlester Fire Department and transported to McAlester Regional Health Center, according to police reports.
The police report states the responding officer found no signs of foul play and the report goes on to say the woman said she has no memory of how she got there but she said she must have fallen.
When the officer asked if she had been assaulted, she said no, according to the police report.
Calls have been made to McAlester Regional Health Center to find information on the condition of the woman. Calls were not returned by press time.
