The Red Oak Committee for Continued Growth along with local Red Oak businesses and the Red Oak City Council will sponsor the Santa Shoppe on Main Street in Red Oak on Dec. 1, from 9 to 2 p.m.
During the event, an author who wrote a book about the Butterfield Trail have a book signing and local vendors will be selling items such as quilts, home baked goods, Avon, handmade items, floral decorations and other items.
The deadline to secure a vendor space is Nov. 27 and sidewalk space will available if inside vendor space is full.
Also during the event, a photographer will be available for mini family portrait session.
Local businesses on Main Street will open their doors for the vendors to sell items in case of inclement weather.
Door prize drawings will be held every thirty minutes and a cash drawing will be held at 2 p.m. Winners must be present. Food will be available during the day from 7 a.m. with a biscuit and gravy breakfast by the Red Oak class of ‘65 to benefit the Red Oak Scholarship Fund and volunteers from the Red Oak Library will sell chili pies while vendors and school groups will be selling pulled pork sandwiches, caramel apples and hot dogs.
