McALESTER —

During the McAlester Public Schools board meeting Monday evening, the new certified staff members to join the MPS team were introduced. Board members played a video of interviews with all the new teachers, who introduced themselves by name and said what grade and MPS facility they will each be working at this upcoming school year.

Each new teacher then spoke about what “teacher’s desk item” they identified with the most. Some of the new teachers identified with post-it notes (useful as reminders of what needs to be done), whiteout (useful in fixing mistakes), and pencils (useful in correcting mistakes). At the end of the video was a short clip of bloopers.
