The McAlester City Council has called a special meeting Thursday evening, Oct. 10, to discuss plans regarding the city’s Streets Reconstruction Program.
Also included on the agenda is discussion of the city’s Capital Improvements Plan.
The meeting is set for 5:30 p.m. today in the council chambers at City Hall.
City voters passed a measure earlier this year which allowed the city to refinance existing bond measures to help pay for the streets project.
In addition, the city has paid for a professional survey to be conducted regarding the condition of the city’s streets.
City Manager Pete Stasiak said the city hopes to get some input from citizens regarding the upcoming streets projects.
