The action was taken as the commissioners met for a regular meeting Monday morning at the Pittsburg County courthouse.

Eight 4-H students along with 4-H Extension Educator Greg Owen presented a proclamation naming the month of October as 4-H Month for Pittsburg County.

Also during the meeting the commissioners unanimously approved the fiscal year 2013-2014 budgets for the Pittsburg County Sheriffs Department and the Pittsburg County Animal Shelters.
