Stuart to host Fall Festival

McALESTER — Firefighter Jeanette Tweedel said Oct. 26 Stuart will host a Fall Festival with a car show, contests and activities for people of all ages and everyone is invited.

She said their will be a costume contest for infants to 16 years-old.

“We will have a horse shoe tournament for adults,” Tweedel said. “There will be a first-place trophy and ribbons for up to fifth place for both the costume contest and the horse shoe tournament.”

She said the awards ceremony for the contests and tournaments will be presented after the car show.

The car show starts at 1 and ends at 4 p.m. when the awards ceremony begins.

She said the car show entry fee is $15 on the day of show, but is $10 if you pre-register.

There will be eight car show classes (categories); all original, modified, work in progress, import cars, street rod, tractor, semi and motorcycles. All years of vehicles qualify for every class (category).

There will be gaming booths and a hay ride that costs $2 per person.

There will be door prizes throughout the day, funnel cakes, caramel apples, pie and cakes auction and there will be vendors.

Booth space is available $20 for a 10’ by 10’ space on the day of the event and it is $15 for those who pre-register.

The event is sponsored by Stuart Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary and all proceeds go to the Stuart Volunteer Department.
