Theodore Murray opened Thursday’s Men’s Holy Week Breakfast with a passage from Matthew 10:38: “And he who does not take up his cross and follow me is not worthy of me.”
Murray, of the First Presbyterian Church, served as the featured speaker during the breakfast, held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.
As the men and boys assembled and had a breakfast of scrambled eggs, biscuits, sausage, gravy, grapes and orange juice, Murray told them about the Beaver Creek Church, in Old Greenwich, Conn., “where a remarkable cross graces the auditorium."
