FedEx buys land to build new facility

McALESTER — FedEx has purchased property to build a new “FedEx Station” with the potential of employing more than 80 people, according to FedEx Senior Manager Jeremy Williamson.

The exact size of the new facility is still to be finalized according to Williamson but the land has been purchased.

We officially purchased the property two weeks ago,” Williamson said.

“We expect to employ about 82 employees but the number isn’t final yet.”

“We have been looking to build a new and bigger facility, and now we have the land.”
