Re’gan L. Boggs have been honored as valedictorian and Hayden D. Hopper as salutatorian at the 2013 Canadian School eighth-grade graduation May 13 at 7 p.m. in the Darrell James Gymnasium.
Boggs is the daughter of Aaron Boggs, of Ada, and Tina Randol, of Canadian. Her grandparents are Virgil and Cindi Boggs, of Shawnee, the late Phyllis Randol and the Rev. Anthony and Dale Randol, of Enterprise.
She has a grade-point average of 3.95, plays basketball and softball, and has cheered for the last three years. She is an active member of FFA and formerly an officer and member of 4-H.
Re’gan has been a Canadian Junior High student of the month and has received numerous other awards. She attends church at Pathway to Truth Church in Krebs. Her hobbies include going on mission trips, attending church, riding four-wheelers, hunting, mudding, swimming, hanging out with friends and being with her family. One of her favorite quotes is from the Bible, “All things work together for good, to them who love God.” (Romans 8:28)
Hopper is the son of Dale and Kelli Hopper, of Longtown.
He is completing his eighth-grade year with a 3.78 cumulative grade point average. He has been on the Superintendent and Principal’s Honor Rolls throughout his junior high career.
He enjoys playing basketball, baseball and golf. He also enjoys hunting and fishing in his spare time.
Hayden plans to receive a scholarship to play golf and said he is undecided on a career choice.
