McAlester police responded to a report of shots fired early Saturday just after 1 a.m. in the 700 block of South 12th Street.
According to McAlester Police Reports, a .38 Special and five spent casings were recovered at the scene of the incident.
Det. Capt. Gary Wansick of the McAlester Police Department confirmed there was an incident reported at approximately 1:05 a.m. Saturday.
No injuries from shots fired were reported, he said, and there have been no arrests in connection with gunfire, he said.
He said the incident has been investigated, and a police report has been filed with the Pittsburg County District Attorney’s office.
