Accused rapist allegedly gets victim pregnant

McALESTER — A Stigler man, who has recently been accused of rape, is allegedly the father of his 14-year-old victim’s unborn baby.

Jimmy Culley, 46, of Stigler, was charged June 19 in Pittsburg County District Court with one felony count of first-degree rape.

Cyndie Dee Jones, 31, of Stigler, was charged June 19 with one felony count of enabling child sexual abuse.

Pittsburg County Undersheriff Richard Bedford said evidence found during the course of the investigation led police to believe Culley is the father of the 14-year-old girl’s child.

Police interviewed Jones, and various other witnesses, and the District 18 District Attorney’s Office filed charges against Culley and Jones following these interviews.

If convicted, Culley is facing up to 15 years in prison and Jones is facing a life sentence. In seeking comment, contact information could not be found for Culley. A $150,000 arrest warrant has been issued for Culley and Janes is being held at the Pittsburg County jail in lieu of a $50,000 bond. She was unavailable for comment.
