The Red Oak 4-H Third Annual Clover 5K Run/Walk happens Saturday

McALESTER — Plans are finalized for the Red Oak 4-H Third Annual Clover 5K Run/Walk on Saturday.

The event begins at 9 a.m., with registration from 7:30-8:30 a.m. at the Red Oak Senior Citizens Center on Main Street in Red Oak. 

The entry fee on the day of the race is $10, and the first 100 entries will receive a T-shirt. 

Profits from the Clover Run will be used to continue a renovation project at Fair-Miller Park. 

Also during the event, 4-H members will be collecting recyclables, and trailers and recycle bins will be available.

In addition, the Red Oak Class of 1965 will be serving sausage biscuits to benefit its scholarship fund.

Local vendors are expected along Main Street and at the local community center. 

On the same day, the Red Oak 4-H plans a Clover Sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
