Hundreds of people showed up for 27th Annual Pittsburg Founders Day Parade on Saturday.
Pittsburg County Sheriff Joel Kerns led the parade that included hundreds of horses, several covered wagons and fire trucks including Kiowa, Pittsburg, Blanco, Blue, and others.
Former Pittsburg County commissioner John Whetzel was back this year as announcer for the all day event which included a parade, free lunch, pie auction, horse races, stick horse races and a rodeo.
Kerns said he’s been in every parade since 2004.
“It was just as good or better than last year,” Kerns said.
