An Emeraldalicious Tea for young ladies aged 2- to 12 -years is set for at 2 p.m. on Sept. 28. at St. John’s Parish Hall.
“Come and be a part of Oklahomans for Independent Living’s third annual “Emeraldalicious, Tea for Little Girls,” said Pam Pulchney OIL’s executive director .
She said all proceeds from the “Emeraldalicious Tea” will benefit the Annual Children’s with Disabilities Christmas Party they have for children who register and their families.
Meanwhile the Emeraldalicious Tea promises to be a full day of fun for those who attend, according to Pulchney.
The Emeraldalicious tea is named for a children’s book about “going green.”
She said the main character, Pinkalicious, has a magic want that turns junk into recycled things.
All the girls are encouraged to wear emerald green to the tea where they will be served emerald drinks, emerald shaped sandwiches, emerald candy, emerald cupcakes, and more, Pulchney said.
“And all little girls will receive a magic wand,” Pulchney said.
The “Emeraldalicious” storybook will be read to the little girls by an “ Emeraldalicious Princess” and there will be a Emeraldalicious door prize and treat bags for all the little girls, Pulchney said.
“We will also have a photographer to take portraits of the girls.”
She said tickets at $10 for children and adults and must be purchased in advance. No tickets will be sold at the door. For more information call 918-426-6220 ext. 112 or 109.
The church is at 4th and E. Washington Street, McAlester
