McALESTER — The city of McAlester plans another free movie in the park for this Saturday night.

This weekend’s showing is “Finding Nemo,” the Academy-Award winning movie from Disney and Pixar.

City Parks and Recreation personnel plan to show the movie at 7:30 p.m. in Sertoma Park, on the south side of Mike Deak Field, at 13th Street and MacArthur Avenue.

While rain forced cancellation of a scheduled showing two weeks ago, city personnel plan to show the movie this weekend, rain or shine.

If it’s raining, they plan to move the movie inside, at the Southeast Expo Center, said McAlester Community Services Director Mel Priddy. That showing would also be scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

Whether it’s shown at Expo Center or outside at the park, the movie will be free and individuals can bring their own concessions.

They may also want to bring lawn chairs or blankets on which to sit, city personnel said.
