Boley man- charged in the death of parents-found dead in cell

McALESTER — A man charged in the death of  his parents has been found dead in his cell, officials say.

Ross Holloway, 32, of Boley, was found dead in his Okfuskee County Jail cell Friday morning after being charged last week in the death of his parents, Denver and Martha Holloway, according to the Oklahoma Bureau of Investigation.

Denver and Martha Holloway are both natives of Pittsburg County.

“We are investigating the death of Ross Holloway found early Friday morning, about 4 a.m. in his jail cell,” said Jessica Brown, public information officer for the OSBI.

“There were no signs of foul play and he was alone in his jail cell.”

The bodies of Denver and Martha Holloway were discovered March 11 by OSBI agents and Okfuskee County officials, according to a court affidavit filed in Ross Holloway’s murder charges.

During the investigation, agents allegedly discovered he had lived with the couple for two years and found methamphetamine paraphernalia in his bedroom, according to the OSBI.

According to the affidavit, a day after the murders took place, Ross Holloway was stopped by officers in LeFlore County and had allegedly admitted to smoking methamphetamine hours earlier. During a search of the vehicle in the traffic stop, a .22- caliber revolver was found inside his vehicle with five spent shell casings inside the cylinder, according to the OSBI.

A medical examiner’s report states the victims died of multiple gunshot wounds from .22-caliber Magnum bullets.

Meanwhile, the OSBI has not made a ruling on Ross Holloway’s cause of death.
