Woman pleads guilty in meth house case

McALESTER — A McAlester woman pleaded guilty recently in a meth house case where three young children were found by authorities.

Brianna Bray pleaded guilty March 22 to felony charges of maintaining a place for keeping and selling controlled substances, possession of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school or park and possessing and furnishing a precursor substance. She also pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

She was fined $1,675 and sentencing was deferred for five years on each of the felony counts and sentencing was deferred for one year on the misdemeanor count.

On Jan. 15, agents with the District 18 Narcotics Task Force executed a search warrant at a home in the 800 block of East Delaware Avenue in McAlester, according to court records.

Upon securing the residence, agents found four adults and three children in the living room of the home, a police affidavit states. Agents also allegedly found multiple firearms, ammunition, a methamphetamine lab, marijuana and numerous other items associated with the manufacturing of methamphetamine.

The four adults — two couples, and parents of the children — were arrested and the young children, a 3-year-old girl, a 1-year-old girl and a 1-year old boy, were taken into custody by the Oklahoma Department of Human Services.

Randy and Sarah Cartlidge, the parents of the two girls, were both arrested and charged along side Jeremiah Jones and Bray, the parents of the young boy. All four adults and three children were allegedly residing in the McAlester home.

Randy Cartlidge, 25; Sarah Cartlidge, 21; Jones, 22; and Bray, 20, were all charged with multiple drug-related felonies.

Randy Cartlidge was charged with manufacture of a controlled dangerous substance (methamphetamine) within 2,000 feet of a school, maintaining a place for keeping and selling controlled substances and possession of firearms after conviction or during probation. He was also charged with misdemeanor possession of a controlled dangerous substance (marijuana) and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. He is due back in court May 23 at 9 a.m. to face charges.
