McAlester Public Schools and Ki Bois pre-school round-up

McALESTER — It is time for the 2013-2014 pre-enrollment for pre-school children in McAlester.

McAlester Public Schools and Ki Bois Head Starts Early Childhood Programs will be pre-enrolling pre-school aged children for the 3 year-old program, Head Start and for Pre-Kindergarten Tuesday (Apri. 9) from 3:30 to 6 p.m. at William Gay Early Childhood Center and Jefferson early Childhood Center, said Debbie Watkins, MPS Director of Public Relations.

She said, William Gay Early Childhood Center is at 600 W. Madison Ave. and Jefferson Early Childhood Center is at 501 S. C St. in McAlester.

Watkins said parents or guardians must bring some vital information for children to be enrolled.

Watkins said to bring:

• Official birth certificate

• Immunization record

• Social Security card

• Certificate of Degree of Indian Blood, also known as CDIB Card

• Income verification (Only for Head Start)

• Health Care Coverage information (ie. Insurance or Sooner Care)
