The city of McAlester’s propostion to designed to gain financing for a $12 million in street projects passed by an overwhelming margin Tuesday night.
Voters in the special election gave the proposition 704 “yes” votes, while 114 voted “no.”
The measure passed with a whooping 86 percent of the vote, while 14 percent opposed the measure.
