Highway 113 in Canadian, near the railroad tracks, was blocked until about 2:30 p.m. Friday, said Pittsburg County Undersheriff Richard Bedford.
According to Trent Myers, director of the Pittsburg County/ McAlester Officer of Emergency Management, a group of workers were in the process of moving a transformer when the moving vehicle got stuck. “They’ve got a large electric transformer that they are moving from Canadian to Scipio,” Myers said. “And they got the truck stuck.”
Myers said the equipment being used to free the stuck truck is what was blocking the roadway. Just before 3 p.m. Myers told the News-Capital that the roadway was clear.
