Girls Scouts slate membership rally

McALESTER — During August 27 Girl Scout Rally McAlester Girl Scouts have information for girls to join and for adults to volunteer for the program, according to RaShonda Hutchings membership and marketing executive for the Girl Scouts.

“Grab your parents and find out what it’s all about,” Hutchings said.

“We’d love to sign up at least 100 girls and new leaders and volunteers are always needed.”

At the rally girs can register or just take information to find out what it’s all about, she said.

Girls in kindergarten through grade 12 and their parents can stop in from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the Girl Scout Service Center on 301 W. Seneca Ave,

“We need to have a parent with the girls if they want to sign up,” Hutchings said.

The cost is $15 and financial aid is available and all information is kept confidential, she said.

“Girl Scouts is open to all girls and adults regardless of ability to pay.”
