The McAlester Community Theater is presenting a comedy dinner theater Friday and Saturday night at the Meeting Place, organizers say.
It’s a comedy called ‘The Ladies of Harmony,’ is was written by Ron Hill, according to organizer Shelly Dugan.
Dugan said she’s expecting a great turnout for the comedy show and dinner.
“It’s about six church ladies planning a funeral for an old man who don’t like and while they are gossiping and carrying on they don’t realize the janitor has spiked their coffee.” Dugan said.
She said the play is hilarious, “I think everyone will enjoy it.”
The McAlester Community Theater was created in 1998 and consists of local actors.
Those playing in this week’s performance include, Mary Walker as Maud; Shelly Walker as Addie; Terry Bishop as Stella; Robin Glasgow as Grace; Stephanie Swinnea as Leah; and Paula McGee as Thelma, Dugan said.
Dinner starts at 6:30 p.m. on both nights and the performance is set to begin at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets are $22.50 for front row tables and $17.50 for gallery seating, Dugan said.
Tickets can be purchased by calling 918-426-6416 and they will also be available at the door.
The meeting place is at 104 E. Choctaw Ave., McAlester.
