McALESTER — Kevin Enloe, director of the McAlester/Pittsburg County Office of Emergency Management, said Pittsburg County's weather is divided by a snow line that is hitting the northern portion of the county and by ice that is expected to continue to fall in the southern portion.

He said today northern Pittsburg County is expected to see at least 3 plus inches of snow and the southern portion of the county has already seen a quarter inch of ice with more ice possible.

The Oklahoma Department of Public Safety has Pittburg County under listed under "slick and hazardous" road conditions as of 9:45 a.m.

Enloe suggested reduced speed and driving with extreme caution. He said he has had no reports of power outages reported to him yet. However, he said, that could change — and more specifically in southern Pittburg County as ice falls.
