Debra Louise Rausche

Debra Louise Rausche, 56, died Friday, June 6, 2014, in Hobbs, New Mexico.

A Celebration of Life will be held in McAlester at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Cremation Society of New Mexico in Albuquerque.

Born Dec. 4, 1955, at St. Mary’s Hospital in McAlester, she was the daughter of Wanda Louise Petty Wheat and DB (Joe) Wheat. She spent many of her childhood years traveling with her parent’s while her father served in the United States Navy. She later attended grade school in Krebs, as well as junior high and high school in McAlester.

In 1972 she married Lonnie Dale Sudduth and they had one son. She then graduated from McAlester Vo-Tech and spent her career working as a LVN.

In 1976 she married John Rausche and they had two daughters.

Survivors include one sister, Glenda Kay Wheat, Redding, Calif.; one brother, DB (Joey) Wheat Jr., Gresham, Wash.; one son, Lonnie Dale Sudduth Jr., Spring, Texas; daughter, Kellie Jo DeSiata and husband, John, Spring, Texas; daughter, Sheri Chagnon, Hobbs, New Mexico.

Also, grandchildren, Jonathan and Drew DeSiata, Spring, Texas, Tyler and Cody Wilkerson, Hobbs, New Mexico, and Christy Wilkerson, Littleton, Colorado; nieces and nephews, Shannon Rausche, of McAlester, Bailey Clark, Redding, California, and Jennifer and Jared Wheat, Scappoose, Wash.; aunts, Claudia Crafton, Naomi Elwell and Alice Edwards, all of McAlester, and numerous cousins and second cousins.

She was preceded in death by both her parents, Wanda Wheat and Joe Wheat, and all her grandparents, Shanetha Lee, Willie Wheat, Dorothy Wilson and Tom Petty.

Memorials may made to National Cancer Society and the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
