Pittsburg County Commissioners begin the New Year

McALESTER — The commissioners received one bid for breathing apparatus and cylinders for the McAlester Fire Dept.

The commissioners accepted the bid and tabled the vote for the next meeting.

Following the meeting the commissioners said they wanted to wish the people of Pittsburg County a Happy New Year.

“I hope next year is a good as the last one,” said District 1 Commissioner Gene Rogers.

Also attending Monday’s meeting was District 2 Commissioner Kevin Smith, Chairman District 1 Commissioner Gene Rogers and District 3 Commissioner Ronnie Young.

Pittsburg County Commissioners meet every Monday at 9 a.m. in the county commissioner’s conference room at the Pittsburg County courthouse. The meetings are open to the public.

Also attending Monday’s meeting was District 2 Commissioner Kevin Smith and District 3 Commissioner Ronnie Young.
