Holy Week breakfasts start 59th year

Segal spoke on Monday at the 59th Annual Holy Week Breakfast, attended by approximately 100 men and boys at the First Christian Church in McAlester.

Speaking of numbers, Segal said that 25 years ago on Feb. 4, his best friend underwent surgery at St.  Francis Hospital in Tulsa.

“Thirty minutes after they closed him up, I had my last cigarette,” Segal said. “He was a major influence on my life, both dead and alive.”
