McAlester's Kathy Crowl wins $10k at 19th annual 10K McAlester Cash Giveaway

McALESTER — Kathy Crowl, of McAlester, took home $10,000 from 19th annual 10K McAlester Cash Giveaway.

When asked what she was going to do with the money, Crowl said, “invest it wisely.”

Crowl’s winning ticket, No. 014884, came from Adams True Value Hardware and Ag Supply.

Winning $1,000 with ticket No. 659532 was Regina Randall, of McAlester, and the $500 cash prize was won by Jamie McCarty, of McAlester, who came to the event with four tickets.

The first ticket called for the $500 was No. 284351 a man came to the stage saying he had the ticket, but however brought the wrong one.

Michele Wilcox, of Krebs, won diamond stud earrings valuing $850 from McAlester’s Sewells Jewelry with ticket No. 462138.

Geoffrey Morley, of McAlester, won $500 worth of window treatments from Interior Resources, in McAlester, with ticket No. 349934.

With the ticket No. 226003, Melissa Clark, of Wilburton, won a $750 Computer from Patrick’s PC.

Standing right next to the grand stand, Clark’s daughter, Callie, celebrated her 17th birthday standing downtown McAlester at the 10k drawing.

Rachael Sellmeyer, of McAlester, won tires valuing up to $500 from Freedom Ford with ticket No. 772355.

Winning $500 in shopping and gift certificates from ZR & Co. and the Meeting Place, was Doron Shreffler, of McAlester, winning with ticket No. 018800.

And the winner of the $250 gift card from First National Bank and Trust was Mary Ann Fields, of McAlester, with ticket No. 058889.

There were more than 80 sponsors this year, according to Jeanie McCabe coordinator of the drawing.

“We have sponsors from Kiowa, Hartshorne and Longtown this year,” McCabe said from the grand stand and she said the organizers appreciate all who participate.

McCabe said this was her first year to organize the event.

This year there were 830,000 tickets to be drawn from. Last year Cody Tripp of Indianola was the lucky winner; His was chosen among some 800,000 tickets.
