McAlester’s Mayor Steve Harrison is shown signing a proclamation declaring this week as the Great Turkey Challenge Week in McAlester. The Great Turkey Challenge is an annual food drive that has been conducted at Kiamichi Technology Center – McAlester for many years. Last year over two and a half tons of food was collected and then distributed to area food pantries. Anyone interested in supporting the Great Turkey Challenge may bring donations to Kiamichi Technology Center through this Thursday.
