The Casual Gourmet Club met recently at the Puterbaugh house for thier November meeting.
Janet Derichsweiler, Karen Kirby and June Boyd were hostesses of the event.
Decorations were done with fall elements of gold, bronze and soft yellow table centerpieces.
Director Margaret Fields welcomed Carlotta Priddy as a new member and Angela Key was introduced as a guest.
During the luncheon classic Chicago Italian beef sandwiches were served on variety of condiments and spicy salads.
Homemade cinnamon coffee cake topped off the meal with tea, juice and coffee.
During the meeting Susan Kanard read the minutes, Nancy Gates gave the financial report.
Judy Goodyear shared Sunshine news with special recognition of Joyce Bridges.
Fields thanked members for their support of Relay for Life and read a thank-you note from Debbie Watkins for the club supplying food for the eighth grade meeting at the Southeast Expo Center.
Dot Thompson represented the club for the Hospice Sabbath at the Little Chapel on the Hill held Nov.10.
Volunteer hour forms were distributed during the meeting.
Fields introduced FFCLA Instructor Key. She shared shared goals the students have for the Mactown Kitchen project.
Key told the group that courses offered in FCS classes educate students on the essential skills needed to be successful members of society.
She said students collaborate with Buff- TV students to film kitchen shows and invite local chefs and experts to participate in the program.
Financial help is needed for present and future students to learn essential skills.
Also attending the meeting were members, Janis Allford, Edlyne Boyer, Joyce Bridges, Debbie Brown, Vickie Cherry, Debbie McCauley, Debbie Nelson, Cecilia McMahan and Ada Nell Ward.
The next meeting will be Dec. 17 at Savanna with club officers, Fields, Gates and Kanard hosting the Christmas meeting.
