Calvary Baptist

Sunday school begins at 9:45 a.m. followed by the morning worship at 11. Discipleship training is at 5 p.m. with evening worship at 6. Wednesday evening youth program is at 6, adult Bible study 6:30, fellowship and a meal start at 5:30 for adults/children, and 6 for the youth. David Cantrell is the youth program director and Denise Emerson is the children’s program director. The Fall Festival is scheduled Oct. 29 from 6 to 8 p.m. Chip Lott is pastor. October 25, Dow Baptist Church will host a Fall Festival beginning at 4 p.m. with games, activities, and hot dogs for children and youth. A hayride will also be featured at dusk. Everyone is welcome. “Pray for America” will be held on Nov. 1 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. This is a time of prayer for our leaders at the national level. All denominations in the area are asked to join for this time of prayer. Sunday morning services are at 10 and 11. Sunday evening services are at 5 and 6. Wednesday service is at 6:30. A church nursery and interpretation for the deaf is available for all services. Sunday School for all ages begins at 9:40 a.m. Worship service is at 10:50 beginning with congregational singing led by David Findley this Sunday. Pastor Jody Domingue will bring this Sunday morning’s sermon from 1 Peter 4:12-19 titled “Christian Influence.” Sunday afternoon, Discipleship training begins at 5. Evening worship begins at 6. Pastor Domingue’s focal passage is from 1 Corinthians 11:23-32 and the sermon is titled “The Lord’s Supper,” followed by church participation. Tuesday, the ladies bible study, taught by Letha Everett, meet at 10 a.m. Wednesday, at 6 p.m., the children’s choir, for children first through sixth, meet at 6 p.m. TeamKids for age 3 through kindergarten and grades first through sixth meet at 7. A time of prayer and Bible study will be held in the sanctuary, also at 7. Pastor Domingue will lead the Bible study titled “God's Trophy” the focal scripture is Joel 2:12-17. The youth will have Bible study at the same time in the youth room. Adult choir practice will follow Bible study. October 25, the church will have it’s annual Harvest Celebration from 2 to 4 p.m. There will be free inflatables, games, snacks and candy for all children through grade six. Costumes may be worn, but no witches, ghosts or evil or violent character costumes. The church offers a soup kitchen to those in need. “More of Jesus; Less of Me” is our October theme at Family Worship Center. Pastor Kerry Kirkhart will bring the message at the 10 a.m. Sunday service. Holy Communion will be served.
