Big fun planned for Quinton fall festival

Quinton’s fall festival, slated for Sept. 26, is only weeks away. With many activities already on the schedule, the committee has added even more events designed to provide something for everyone.

In addition to the barbecue cookoff, kids’ pageant, martial arts exhibit, car show and street dance, there will also be a strong man contest, and a car wash and wax. Add to the list numerous events and games for the kids to enter all through the day and a multitude of vendors offering shopping and a variety of foods, and the result is a full day of food and fun.

“We’re still looking for entries in the barbecue cookoff and kids’ pageant,” said Tana Miller, festival committee public relations and event coordinator. Anyone wanting to enter those two activities should call Stephanie Shelton at 918-441-7148.

Call Scott Gregg to enter the strongman contest at 918-448-7578. The deadline to enter this event is Sept. 18.

“And let's not forget at the end of the day to let your hair down and show off your dancing skills at the street dance that starts at 6 p.m.,” Miller invited.
