Stop turns to go

From submitted reports

The 4-way stop sign system at Third Street and Seminole Avenue will change to a 2-way stop sign system Friday at 10 a.m.

The north-south stop signs on Third Street will be eliminated. This means through traffic on South Third Street will no longer have to stop.

The east-west stop signs on Seminole Avenue will remain in place and will be supplemented with “Cross street does not stop” signs.

The change is being made because the Pittsburg County Health Department has moved across town, so there is no longer a need for a 4-way stop sign system at the Third and Seminole intersection.
