Eufaula woman drowns

From staff reports

A Eufaula woman drowned Sunday at the Eufaula Cove Marina, according to a report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Carol Cantrell, 52, was attempting to get on a boat that was at the marina when she fell into the water, OHP said.

Cantrell was recovered 11 feet south of the deck, the report said, on the west side of the boat slip, in 18 feet of water.

The incident was investigated by Trooper Neal Hurt, who was assisted by Trooper Scott Lee, the Eufala Police Department, and the McIntosh County Sheriff’s Department.
