Two separate ATV accidents sent two area residents to the hospital on Wednesday and Thursday.
Around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sharon Robbins, 42, Red Oak, was attempting to climb a hill on private property when the ATV she was driving flipped backwards and struck her.
Robbins was taken to the Choctaw Nation Hospital of Talihina and then transferred to Sparks Regional Hospital in Fort Smith, Ark. where she was listed in stable condition with internal trunk injuries, all according to Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper Shauna Caldwell.
According to Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper John Fugate, just after midnight this morning, 17-year-old Kaleb Taylor of Coalgate was riding an ATV on a private track and flipped the vehicle as he tried to make a turn.
Taylor sustained neck and external trunk injuries and was listed in stable condition after being airlifted to Presbyterian Hospital in Oklahoma City.
