Quinton High School names top 2009 students

Quinton High School has selected it’s top students for the 2008-2009 school year. The QHS graduation was May 8 at 8 p.m. in the Quinton Elementary Gymnasium.
Lindsey Ogden has been selected as a co-valedictorian of QHS with a GPA of 4.11. She is the daughter of Wayne and Martha Ogden.
Ogden has been involved in basketball, softball, cheerleading, golf, band, FFA, FCA, FCCLA and student council. She has also been active in speech, yearbook and quiz bowl.
Ogden’s honors include membership of “Who’s Who Among American High School Students,” Oklahoma Honor Society, and National Honor Society. She is the senior class president, student council president, FFA vice-president and FCCLA secretary. She is also a member of the superintendent’s honor roll.
Ogden plans to attend Eastern Oklahoma State College in Wilburton and then Oklahoma State University in Stillwater.
Deona Wingo has been selected has been selected as a co-valedictorian of the QHS class of 2009 with a GPA of 4.11. She is the daughter of Joe and Shana Grubis, and Bobby and Faye Wingo.
Wingo has been involved in cheerleading, basketball, softball, track, golf and cross- country. She has also been active in speech, color guard, band, FCA, yearbook, FCCLA and quiz bowl.
Wingo’s honors include superintendent’s honor roll, “Who’s Who Among American High School Students” and National Honor Society. She is the senior class vice-president, cheerleading captain and yearbook editor.
Wingo plans to attend Northeastern State University in Tahlequah.
Amanda Mosby has been selected as the salutatorian of the QHS class of 2009 with a GPA of 4.04. She is the daughter of Michael and Anna Prince, and Billy and Mary Mosby.
Mosby has been active in band, quiz bowl, FCCLA, student council, yearbook, speech and FCA. She is the student council vice-president and band drum major.
Her honors include being a member of the superintendent’s honor roll, “Who’s Who Among American High School Students” and National Honor Society.
Mosby plans to attend East Central University in Ada.
