Some interesting results in last Tuesday's elections came from Oklahoma County. A proposition to spend $10.5 million to renovate the Oklahoma County Courthouse passed with 52 percent voting in favor. A proposition to spend $7.25 million to construct a new Oklahoma County-OSU Cooperative Extension Service building failed with 55 percent voting against it.
If the Oklahoma County commissioners had consulted with the District 18 District Attorney’s office in Pittsburg County, they could have had the foresight to hide the extension service building in the courthouse renovation proposition and gotten them both approved.
