Glenn H. Hollis
Glenn H. Hollis, 69, of McAlester, died Monday, Nov. 23, 2009, at McAlester Regional Health Center.
Family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in McAlester.
The family will gather for lunch at Adamson Baptist Church at 12 p.m. on Saturday.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Blue Cemetery, west of McAlester with the Rev. Don Russell officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Brumley-Mills Funeral Home of McAlester.
Born July 16, 1940, in Adamson, he was the son of Lee and Maude (Casey) Hollis. He married Reba Brown on Dec. 4, 1974, in McAlester. He worked for various drilling companies, including offshore and overseas in Saudi Arabia and Iran.
He served in the Oklahoma National Guard and later in the United States Air Force.
He enjoyed coon hunting, rodeos and his family.
Survivors include his wife, Reba Hollis, of the home; children and spouses, Terry and Brenda Hollis, Porterville, Calif., Lori and Leland Duckworth, Porterville, Calif., Mark and Jennifer Hollis, Mooselake, Minn., Glenda and Gary Franklin, Lancaster, Calif., Tony Hollis, of McAlester, Murl and Rhonda Hollis, Winfield, Kan., Joe and Jayme Hollis, of Haileyville, and Lee Hollis and Aaron Stewart, of Haileyville.
Also, 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Warren and Lorraine Hollis, of Adamson; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Rheba Lout, of Adamson, Patricia and Dr. Charles Emich, Alexandria, Va., Ramona and Jay Gordon, Hurst, Texas, and Sue and Richard Madri, Wichita, Kan., and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Maude Hollis; infant daughter, Kimberly Rose Hollis, and two brothers, Leon and Everett Hollis.
Pallbearers will be Tony Hollis, Murl Hollis, Leon Hollis, Joe Hollis, Warren Hollis Jr. and Brent Hollis.
Honorary pallbearers will be Terry Hollis and Mark Hollis.
