John Anthony Morgan
John Anthony Morgan, 43, of Hartshorne, died Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009, in Gowen.
Family will receive friends on from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in Hartshorne.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Dow Baptist Church with the Rev. Casey McCoy officiating. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery in Hartshorne. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Brumley-Mills Funeral Home of Hartshorne.
Born Sept. 17, 1966, in McAlester, he was the son of Clarence and Billy Jean (King) Morgan. He was a lifelong resident of Hartshorne and married Dana James on Feb. 17, 1995, in Fort Smith, Ark.
He coached little league football and his girls softball team. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his children.
He was a member of Dow Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Dana Morgan, of the home; four children, Samantha Morgan, Abigail Morgan, Johnathon Morgan and Treyce Morgan, all of the home; parents, Clarence Morgan and Billy Jean Morgan, of Hartshorne; grandparents, Myrtle Morgan, of Hartshorne, and Opal King, of Hartshorne; one brother and sister-in-law, Randy and Erica Morgan, of Hartshorne; four sisters, Melissa Morgan, of Hartshorne, Karri and Skip Teafatiller, of Hartshorne, Stephanie Morgan, of Kansas, and Brittany Morgan, Fort Smith, Ark.; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bruce and Shelly Rosenburger; sister-in-law, Megan Daniels, and nieces and nephews, Maleri Camp, Shyane Camp, Erindy Morgan, Taylor, Grace and Noah Daniels, Zane Teafatiller, Kayden Beers, Bryce Morgan and Kade Rosenburger.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Clarence Morgan and Perry King; uncle, Joe King; aunt, Patricia Freeman, and niece, Jordan Teafatiller.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Morgan, Jimmy Morgan, David Morgan, Matt Morgan, Frankie Morgan, Charlie Morgan, Royce Wilkins and Perry King.
Honorary pallbearers will be Rodney Holt, Rodney McClendon, Bruce Rosenburger, Jack Zearley, Gary Vermillion, Bill Emberton, Clint Moody, Jeff Hoppart, Robert Carney, Monte Johnson, Dee Holiday, John Mattioda, Gaylon Clunn, Chris Gaylor, Brian Dollins, Mike Thompson, Donnie Sutton and Mitch Wansick.
