Jimmy Volland
Jimmy Volland, 67, of Haileyville, died Monday, Sept. 14, 2009, at his home.
Family will greet friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in Hartshorne.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Elmwood Cemetery Pavilion in Hartshorne with the Rev. Gene Anoatubby and Chaplain Scott Martin officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Brumley-Mills Funeral Home of Hartshorne.
Born Jan. 10, 1942, in Moyers, he was the son of William Edward and Dovie (Teague) Volland. He served in the United States Army and Navy during Vietnam.
He married Ella Mae Lawson in June 1985 in Hartshorne. He was a member of Faith Assembly of God Church in Gowen and enjoyed fishing and his dogs.
Survivors include his wife, Ella Mae Volland, of the home; one daughter, Linda Volland, of Hartshorne; one son, Jimmy Volland Jr., of Hartshorne; four stepsons, Marvin and Kim Lawson, of Haileyville, Ricky Large, of Idabel, Gary Large, of Idabel, and Delton Large, of Hartshorne.
Also, eight grandchildren, Ryan Volland, Jamey Lawson, Tina Lawson, Penny Lawson, Cheyenne Lawson, Kayle Lawson, Caleb Lawson and Aaron Lawson; one sister, Mary Jane Freeman, of High Hill; one brother, Bill Volland, of Krebs, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one grandson, Derek Volland, and two sisters, Juanita Baldwin and Bertha Fay Shepard.

Pallbearers will be Marvin Lawson, Gary Large, Ricky Large, John Freeman, Billy Sockey and Jamey Lawson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Benny Lawson, Loyd Lawson and Bill Sockey.
