Shirley Mary Green

Shirley Mary Green, 71, of Miami, died Sunday, May 18, 2008, at Miami Nursing Center.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at First Indian Baptist Church in McAlester with the Rev. Martin Scott officiating. Burial will be at Double Springs Cemetery in McAlester. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Paul Thomas Funeral Home of Miami.

Born Jan. 29, 1937, in McAlester, she was the daughter of Robert Bell and Mattie (Frazier) Green. She had lived in Miami for five years, moving from McAlester.

She was a homemaker.

Survivors include three daughters, Jacqueline Duckworth, San Diego, Nikita Butler, of Ardmore, and Dawn Sappington, of Quapaw; seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Calvin Green and Matt Green, and a granddaughter, Jennifer Russell.

Pallbearers will be John Russell, Jeremy LeFlore, Robert Butter, James Burris, Coltin Sappington, and Newton Sappington.
